John Robinson
John Robinson is a life-long resident of Fort Worth and graduated Magna Cum Laude from TCU with a BBA in Accounting. He received his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1979 and worked for both Ernst & Ernst and Price Waterhouse before joining the Carter Foundation. During his tenure, financial assets of the Foundation have grown from $100 million to nearly $800 million while at the same, another $800 million has been distributed in charitable grant activity. John also serves as Treasurer of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art and as Trustee and Secretary-Treasurer to another Carter family philanthropic foundation.
In other leadership positions, John has served as President of: Philanthropy Southwest, Boy Scout Foundation, Carter BloodCare, Exchange Club of Fort Worth, and Ridglea Country Club. He has received recognition awards from Child Advocates of Tarrant County, Tarrant County Medical Society, Leadership Fort Worth, Boy Scouts of America, Live Theatre League, and the Royal Purple Award from TCU.
John and his wife Charlotte have been married for 44 years and are the proud parents of son Marshall Robinson (wife Ashley) and daughter Pamela Gilchrist (husband Stephen) and prouder grandparents of Margot Robinson and Kelly, Christopher, and Carter Gilchrist.
